sndwch install guide

Verify the installer before you run it, then put the pair around one plugin.

Before you install
Windows x64 only, and the build is unsigned. Check the SHA-256 value before you run it.

Install the demo

  1. Download the installer from the sndwch product page. No account and no purchase are needed.
  2. Verify it with the command below before you run it.
  3. Run the installer, then load sndwch in your VST host.
  4. Put one instance before the plugin you want to judge and one after it. They pair themselves.

The demo and the paid version are the same installer. Entering a license key turns the installed demo into the full version, so there is nothing to download again after you buy.

Install after buying

  1. Your license key arrives by email and also sits in your account.
  2. Already running the demo? Enter the key in the plugin. Nothing else to install.
  3. Fresh computer? Sign in, download the current build from your account, verify it, and install.

Verify the download

The installer is unsigned, so Windows may warn you about it. Checking the hash is what proves the file is the one published here. Open PowerShell in the folder you downloaded to and run:

Get-FileHash .\sndwch-1.0.0-windows-x64-vst3-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Compare the output with the SHA-256 value published beside the download. If it does not match exactly, delete the file and do not run it.

Comparing two states

Set the drive on P1
P2 mirrors it automatically, so the gain you add never reaches the mix.
Leave the plugin's own output alone
sndwch removes only what sndwch added. Makeup or output gain inside the plugin stays in the signal.
Listen for
Tone, movement, punch and balance — not loudness.
